Our Team
KG Impact Advisors employs a lean staffing model. In many engagements, our CEO and Principal Kyle Gardner works solo or in close partnership with other agencies the client hires. KG Impact Advisors can also manage its own subcontractors or client staff, as it has done before. While based in San Francisco, our clients span the U.S.; we are flexible to meet clients where they are, traveling as desired.

About the Founder & CEO
Growing up in urban public schools, Kyle saw how powerful a quality education together with a supportive community can be. Many of his peers did not have the same fortune. He now works to bring rigorous problem-solving and reality-grounded perspective to support those tackling our greatest social challenges. After a decade as a consultant and nonprofit executive, Kyle launched KG Impact Advisors in Fall 2018 and has since supported large philanthropies, growing nonprofits, and place-based collective impact enterprises with their most timely and important strategic questions. Previously, he served as a Manager at The Bridgespan Group, advising leaders and teams working to accelerate results in education, employment, and economic mobility. There he co-authored a report, named Inside Philanthropy's 2018 "Best Report", resulting from Gates Foundation-funded research on pathways for America's wealthiest families to grow dramatically their philanthropy. Before that, Kyle served 3.5 years as Deputy Executive Director at the Commit! Partnership education intermediary nonprofit in Dallas, managing its growing team and guiding its strategy & operations in its earliest years. Among other achievements, he facilitated development of Commit’s first multi-year strategic plan, resulting in mission clarity and prioritization of three initiatives; guided the growth of a robust statewide analytics engine; and forged consulting partnerships with Texas collective impact initiatives to strengthen state alignment. Kyle also worked as a consultant at ZS Associates, advising health care clients on marketing strategies, and began his career as a math teacher. He has an MBA from Duke University and graduated magna cum laude from Yale. |
